Size And Weight Of The Statue Are:
Lakshmi stands in a graceful contrapposto, the weight resting on one leg while the other softens the stance, creating a gentle lateral sway that defines her silhouette. The four arms extend with clarity, the front hands in abhaya and varada, while the others hold lotuses whose slender stems echo the line of her fingers. The alignment of hand, stem, and gaze creates a continuous visual rhythm across the figure.
She stands upon a double lotus pedestal, the padma not only grounding the form but signalling emergence, purity, and inner awakening. The body is modelled with striking sensitivity, balancing fullness and refinement, with transitions across the torso and limbs handled in smooth, uninterrupted planes.
The detailing is exacting. The kiritamukuta rises in elongated tiers, marked with incised lines and crowned with parrots, symbols of vitality and beauty. Layered ornaments, from kucabandha to channavira, are placed with precision, following the structure of the body rather than obscuring it. The drapery falls in fine, controlled folds, with the girdle centred by a kirtimukha motif.
Executed in Panchaloha through the lost-wax process, the sculpture reveals a high degree of technical command, where surface, proportion, and detail are resolved into a single, luminous presence.
