Size And Weight Of The Statue Are:
Shiva is shown as Nataraja, balanced within a circular aureole of flames, one leg raised while the other presses firmly upon the dwarf Apasmara below. The body is held in a dynamic yet controlled arc, with multiple arms extending outward to create a radial rhythm around the central torso. Each gesture is precise, one hand raised in assurance, another pointing toward the lifted foot, directing attention to release and transcendence through movement.
The surrounding ring of fire defines the cosmic field, symbolising creation, dissolution, and the continuous cycle of time. The figure remains centred within this motion, establishing stillness within activity, a core idea in Shaiva philosophy.
Cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax method, the surface carries subtle tonal variations, with smooth planes across the limbs and sharper detailing in the ornaments and hair. The flame tips and aureole are finely articulated, maintaining lightness against the structural weight of the form.
Elevated on a pedestal, the sculpture occupies space as a complete axis of movement and balance, suited to an interior setting where its circular form and shifting highlights can be experienced in the round.
