The trishula is not simply a weapon but an instrument of severance across the three states of existence, while the damaru introduces rhythm, the pulse through which creation and dissolution remain continuous. The other implements reinforce control over forces that exceed ordinary boundaries.

The dog at his side is essential, not incidental. It represents the marginal, the impure, and the unregulated aspects of life that Bhairava does not reject but governs. As his vahana, the dog marks his presence in cremation grounds, liminal spaces, and zones outside social order. It is vigilance, instinct, and loyalty redirected under divine authority.
