The panel unfolds as a continuous narrative frieze, structured in a horizontal sequence of distinct yet interconnected scenes. This linear progression becomes the defining presence, where each deity occupies a clearly demarcated segment while remaining part of a unified Shaivite field.

From the left, Ganesha appears in composed form, establishing an auspicious beginning. The sequence intensifies as Shiva is depicted in the act of subduing Andhakasura, the composition marked by multiple arms and intersecting diagonals that introduce controlled dynamism. At the centre, Parvati is seated in calm repose, creating a moment of stillness that anchors the surrounding action.

Further along, Durga appears in the act of overcoming Mahishasura, her multi-armed form articulated through rhythmic विस्तार, balancing force with composure. The panel concludes with Shiva seated among ganas and attendants, returning the composition to a state of contained equilibrium.

The carving is dense and finely layered. Figures overlap within a shallow yet deeply worked relief, allowing movement to emerge through contour rather than projection.

In wood, the surface carries a warm, aged tonality. Light grazes the raised forms and settles into recesses, allowing the panel to hold space as a compact temple narrative, structured, immersive, and visually continuous.
