Durga stands in a subtle abhanga, her weight gently shifted to one leg while the torso maintains a controlled frontal alignment. From this grounded stance, eighteen arms radiate outward in a disciplined arc, forming a circular field that defines the composition.

 

Each hand carries a distinct ayudha, held with measured spacing so that the multiplicity reads as ordered extension rather than dispersion. The forward hand grips a blade, anchoring the array with a clear focal point.

 

The lion stands close at her side, its alert posture reinforcing her potency and acting as a stabilising counterbalance to the expanding arms. The eye moves from the tiered pedestal upward through the aligned torso to the composed face, held in a calm, unwavering gaze.

 

Cast in bronze using the lost-wax method, the sculpture displays fine articulation across ornament, drapery, and weaponry, unified by a variegated patina that settles into the detailing. The surface holds density without heaviness. The figure contains its outward force within a centred, controlled presence.
