Temple-Style Tanjore Shrine Panel of Rajarajeshwari with Lakshmi and Saraswati

Three goddesses are brought together here as a complete vision of balance: power, knowledge, and prosperity held within a single shrine. At the centre, Rajarajeshwari stands composed and frontal, her presence steady and governing.

To one side, Saraswati holds the veena in a seated posture, her form quieter and inward. On the other, Lakshmi stands with open palms, her stance direct and symmetrical. Each figure is fully contained within its own space, yet aligned to read as one continuous field.

The carved wooden mandapam frames this arrangement with clarity. Leaf patterns run across the roof in a tight, repeating field, anchored by a central kirtimukha. Small bells hang just above the painted panels, marking the threshold between structure and image. Turned pillars divide the three sections, guiding the eye across while keeping each goddess distinct.

Gold and colour organise the surface with precision, while the wheeled base allows the shrine to be moved as a single unit. The piece holds as a portable altar, designed to be placed, approached, and engaged with directly.
