The panel is organised in three distinct horizontal registers, each carrying a complete symbolic system. This tiered structure becomes the defining presence, where order and abundance are held within a single frame.
The upper row presents the Dashavatara, each form of Vishnu contained within pillared niches, establishing a rhythmic progression of preservation across time. Below, the central band is devoted to Ashta Ganapati, each form seated on a lotus, varied in posture and attribute, articulating multiple aspects of auspicious beginnings and protection.
The lowest register holds Ashta Lakshmi, each goddess seated in composed symmetry, representing different dimensions of prosperity and well-being. Together, the three tiers create a complete visual field of sustenance, auspiciousness, and abundance.
The carving is dense and highly articulated. Repeating arches, fluted pillars, and lotus bases create a continuous architectural rhythm, while each figure is rendered with clarity despite the compact scale. The polychrome surface intensifies this depth, with muted reds, greens, and ochres settling into the recesses, evoking the aged patina of temple interiors.
In wood, the panel carries both warmth and intricacy. Light moves across its layered surface, allowing the composition to hold space as a compact shrine, structured, auspicious, and richly immersive.
