Wooden Vishwaroopa Idol with Gitopadesha On Pedestal

Krishna is rendered in his Vishwaroopa, the cosmic form, with multiple faces and radiating arms expanding outward from a centred, composed torso. The expressions are distinctly modelled, each face carrying a lifelike presence, creating a sense of multiplicity held within a single axis. Above, a serpent hood rises as a protective canopy, enclosing the upper form and reinforcing the idea of contained cosmic force.

The arms extend in a circular spread, holding attributes and gestures, yet remain visually controlled, allowing the central figure to anchor the composition. Below, the lotus pedestal opens outward, and within its base, the scene of the Gitopadesha is carved, grounding the vastness of the form in a moment of dialogue and teaching.

Carved in wood, the surface carries warmth and fine grain, with deep undercutting that allows shadows to define each layer. The detailing remains sharp yet tactile, giving the figure both clarity and softness.
