Shweta Varahi is shown seated in lalitasana on a fully opened lotus, her body relaxed yet composed, with eight arms arranged in a balanced spread. In the Hindu Shakta tradition, Varahi is a powerful mother goddess, identified by her boar-like face and understood as a protective force who removes obstacles and grants inner strength.

She is part of a group of seven mother deities who accompany the great goddess Durga, and is also connected to the boar incarnation of Vishnu, linking her to themes of preservation and rescue.

In this form, however, she appears in her calmer aspect, where protection is expressed through stillness and clarity rather than force. One hand is raised in a gesture of reassurance, while another extends in blessing.

The marble surface is smooth and luminous, allowing the white drapery to fall in continuous, controlled folds. Ornamentation across the crown and jewellery is finely carved but restrained, keeping the figure visually balanced. The softened facial features, with subdued tusks and a steady gaze, shift her presence away from intensity toward quiet assurance.

Set upon the lotus base, the sculpture holds space with a calm, centred presence, well suited to an interior shrine or contemplative setting.
